Welcome to Frida!
Congratulations on renting Frida, your home on wheels for your upcoming adventure! This orientation guide will help you get familiar with your RV's basic features and operation. Even if you've rented RVs before, each one is unique, so please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with Frida.

HEIGHT AWARENESS: Always remember your RV's height (10.92 ft) when driving. Watch for low bridges, gas station canopies, tree branches, and other overhead obstacles.
First-Day Checklist
When you first pick up Frida, go through this checklist to ensure you're familiar with all essential systems:
- Exterior Walkthrough: Familiarize yourself with the outside of the RV, including storage compartments, hookup locations, and access points.
- Control Panel Overview: Locate and understand the main control panel that monitors water levels, battery status, and other systems.
- Water Systems: Learn where the fresh water fill, city water connection, and waste water dumps are located.
- Power Systems: Understand shore power connection, generator operation, and battery management.
- Propane System: Locate the propane tank, learn how to turn it on/off, and which appliances use propane.
- Slide-Out Operation: Practice extending and retracting the slide-outs if your rental includes them.
- Leveling Process: Learn how to level the RV at your campsite for comfort and proper appliance function.
- Emergency Equipment: Locate the fire extinguisher, smoke/CO detectors, and emergency exits.

Setting Up at Your Campsite
Follow these steps when you arrive at your campsite to properly set up Frida:
- Park and Level: Find a level spot and park. Use leveling blocks if necessary. Make sure the RV is level from side to side and front to back.
- Secure the RV: Set the parking brake and turn off the engine. Place wheel chocks behind the tires.
- Connect to Shore Power: Connect your power cord to the campground's electrical pedestal. Turn on the breaker at the pedestal.
- Connect to Water: If available, connect to the campground's water supply using the city water connection. Or fill your fresh water tank.
- Turn On Systems: Turn on the refrigerator, water heater, and any other systems you'll need.
- Extend Slide-Outs: If your RV has slide-outs, extend them only after the RV is level and secure.
- Set Up Outdoor Area: Set up any outdoor furniture or equipment you brought along.

Basic RV Systems Overview
Electrical System
Frida has three sources of power:
- Shore Power: When connected to campground electricity
- Generator: When boondocking (dry camping without hookups)
- Batteries: 12V system for lights, water pump, etc. when not connected to shore power
Water System
Three separate tanks manage your water:
- Fresh Water Tank: 40 gallons, holds clean water for use when not connected to city water
- Grey Water Tank: 31 gallons, collects used water from sinks and shower
- Black Water Tank: 31 gallons, holds waste from the toilet
Propane System
Powers several important appliances:
- Water Heater: For hot showers and washing dishes
- Furnace: Heating the RV interior
- Outdoor Grill: For cooking outside (if equipped)
- Optional Pizza Kit: If you've added this feature
In Case of Emergency
EMERGENCY CONTACT: If you experience any issues or emergencies with the RV, contact rental support at the number provided in your rental agreement.
Know the location of these safety items:
- Fire Extinguisher: Located near the main entrance
- Smoke and CO Detectors: Test them when you first enter the RV
- Emergency Exit Windows: Usually in the bedroom and/or living areas
- Circuit Breaker Panel: To reset tripped breakers
- Propane Shutoff: In case of gas leaks or when refueling
